Carbon Footprint Cost and Reduction
The first update in this release is the feature to calculate the carbon footprint for each operation and product a schedule to lower emissions.
The feature is automatically enabled in new configurations but can be disabled from the Command File Editor. You can assign emissions information to Operations, Resources, and calendars by adding new fields to existing configurations.
Along with carbon footprint calculation, also included is two new reports: the Order Emissions report for emission information per order, and the Schedule Emissions report for overall schedule emissions. Existing reports have also been updated to display this data.
The Minimize Emissions Rule is a new scheduling rule that considers the due date and resources with the lowest emission value. It optimizes scheduling to minimize the carbon footprint. For example, if there are low-emission resources available, the rule will prioritize them.
The Minimize Emissions Rule is not available in the Unattended Scheduling Console. The Unattended Scheduling Console is available in Opcenter Scheduling Standard, Professional and Ultimate.
This feature provides you with the opportunity to calculate and reduce your carbon footprint. Stay tuned for more updates to improve your scheduling process sustainably.
Ensure Business Continuity: with up to three license server redundancy and multiple-server configuration support
Support for three-server redundancy and multiple-server configurations ensures uninterrupted operations, even in the face of potential disruptions. This allows APS to still function in the event the primary license server is not available and allows companies to plan for disaster recovery scenarios. You now can proactively plan for potential disruptions and minimize potential downtime.
Modernized Opcenter Planning reports

License borrowing
Empower Your Remote Workforce with License Borrowing: Take your licenses offline with the Siemens Licensing tool, enabling remote work without VPN access. This is ideal for scenarios like remote working or offsite installations. However, remember that licenses can only be borrowed for 90 days, and a 2410 version of the SALT license is required.
